ABC was a person not domiciled to UK died intestate a few years back. He had some Bank deposits and immovable properties. We helped the parties to get an order of Succession certificate from the High Court of Delhi but the Registry requires some person from India having some properties should sign a surety bond certifying that they are responsible if any claim comes in future with regard to the same properties. But one of their relatives were ready because they were told that their properties will be locked for life. Then we explained to one of their relatives that the risk is only when there is a fraudulent claim. He was sure that the present claim is genuine. We also explained that his properties will not be locked by the Court. Then he came forward to sign the bond. Our clients got their shares without any problems.
